Benefits of an A/C Compressor & Component Kit
Purchasing and replacing just the A/C Compressor is less expensive up-front, but may lead to more repairs and expenses down the road. A complete A/C Compressor & Component Kit provides added benefits:
Extend Service Life: Brand new components, free of contaminants help protect your new A/C Compressor from premature failure.
Why Replace the A/C Condenser? 1996 and newer A/C Condenser designs are difficult (often impossible) to thoroughly flush, because of their small, multi-pass tube construction. A partially clogged / contaminated A/C Condenser can force your new compressor to work harder, and lead to premature failure.
Fulfill Warranty Requirements:A/C Compressors returned under warranty must show proof of purchase of the A/C Orifice Tube (or A/C Expansion Valve) and A/C Receiver Drier / Accumulator.
Save Time & Money: Don't risk having to re-do the repair - do the job right the first time!
Service Tip: Once filled with oil, place or hold the new A/C Compressor with the front seal facing down for 1-3 minutes. This will help coat the seal with oil - if this seal is not lubricated before installation, refrigerant may leak.
Certain vehicles came with multiple compressor styles. You can only replace your current compressor with the same style compressor.
Locate the tag on the back or side of your existing compressor. Look for information like Manufacturer Name, Compressor Type / Style, and Model Number / Part Number.
UAC Warranty Information:12 months. IMPORTANT A/C COMPRESSOR WARRANTY NOTE: All compressors returned for defect must show proof of purchase of an A/C Orifice Tube (or A/C Expansion Valve), A/C Receiver Drier/Accumulator, and A/C System Flush or a Work Order showing the purchase of these items and that the system was flushed.
