AAE Remanufactured Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering Pumps are inspected, rebuilt, tested, proven and carefully packaged in the USA. All cores are inspected for damage and are only chosen after meeting our strict selection criteria. The electronic circuit board is tested and recoated with conformal polymeric film to protect its components from the elements. Then, the hydraulic unit is reassembled with new bearings, o-rings and seals to ensure OE level performance. Finally, the core is cleared of any internal faults, is cycled numerous times and vehicle simulation tested to ensure proper function.
Features & Benefits:
- Programming required using a SAE J2534 Pass-Thru device and OEM software (subscription required)
- Remanufactured and certified in the USA for unmatched quality
- ECU motherboard is inspected, tested and renewed with conformal coating
- Hydraulic unit is reassembled with new bearings, o-rings and seals
- 100% tested and stamped after the rebuild process ensuring OE performance
Installation Tips - Replace Power Steering Pressure and Return Hoses when replacing the power steering pump. Steering hoses can degrade internally and cause contamination in the power steering system, which can damage the new power steering pump
- Where applicable, replace the Power Steering Reservoir or clean the internal filter
- Completely flush the system with an OE approved Power Steering Fluid prior to installation (the correct type of fluid is noted on the reservoir cap or in your owner's manual). Flushing the system is critical to prevent system contamination and failure
- Consider replacing the Belt (found in the Belt Drive category). Modern belts wear gradually and become less efficient, which can put strain on the Power Steering Pump and other belt driven components
- Install the pump and all supplied o-ring seals according to installation instructions, to prevent leaking
- Consider installing a Power Steering Filter on the Power Steering Return Hose to prevent system contamination and extend the life of the power steering components
- A replacement Power Steering Pump can whine or make noise until air is purged from the fluid. Bleed the system during installation to prevent noise and extend the life of the steering components
