Elast belts are made using synthetic rubber materials (sometimes fiber reinforced) that enable them to keep constant tension on a drive system for the entire life of the belt, thus, there is no need for a tensioning mechanism in the system.
Unlike normal multi V-belts, the Elast belt has an elastic polyester tension member. The belt is fitted under load and maintains its tension automatically.
